Salt Plains Ranch | Kansas/Oklahoma

I have been dying to share a preview of Salt Plains Ranch. In November I had the pleasure of heading to Kiowa, Kansas to capture a long weekend of Hunts at Salt Plains Ranch. They are known for their waterfowl hunts and boy oh boyThey did not disappoint! As a result I was able to capture some awesome shots!

Anyone that knows me knows that I just love the outdoors. This was my first time ever photographing hunts, but growing up around hunting and my mom being a taxidermist, I knew I would be just fine! I quickly learned that hunting for waterfowl is in its own world of hunting! It was much different than the turkey or deer hunting I am use too.

Roy Henson, and his other guides are well prepared with variety of hunting locations. From River banks, to flooded fields, deer hunts Salt Plains Ranch offers it all!

Not into “roughing” it? no worries! I had the pleasure fo staying at Kiowa Motel. Kiowa Motel was super clean and accommodating to all the hunters, and was so great to stay there. They also offer a special rate for Salt Plains hunters.

All the crew at Salt Plains Ranch was fantastic to work with and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to set up their next Waterfowl or Deer hunt!!
