Today’s session was one that filled my heart in a way only simple country life can. I spent the afternoon photographing my sweet neighbor and friend, Aimie Cope, in her beautiful flower farm here in High Hill Missouri. Aimie was one of the very first neighbors we met when we moved out here, and from the moment we crossed paths, I knew we were going to be great friends. We both love flowers, simplicity, and raising our wild country kids — it’s a friendship that just made sense from day one.

This is my second year capturing Aimie in her garden, and it never gets old. Watching her tend her blooms with so much love and joy is truly something special. Her flower farm feels like a little pocket of magic tucked into the countryside, bursting with color and filled with the kind of peace only nature can create.

What inspires me most is watching Aimie shine as she shares her passion with others. She teaches with so much heart, and seeing the excitement on people’s faces when she talks about her flowers is incredible. Her garden isn’t just a place to grow blooms — it’s a place where confidence, creativity, and community flourish right alongside the petals.

Today the light was soft, the air was warm, and Aimie moved through her garden like she was made for it. Every photograph felt authentic, full of grace, beauty, and the quiet joy of doing something you truly love.

I’m so grateful for the chance to document Aimie’s flower farm journey each year. It’s a gift watching a friend pour her heart into something so beautiful — and watching it bloom.
