Sunflower Minis in Jonesburg Missouri

Today’s sunflower minis in Jonesburg Missouri were extra meaningful to me. This sweet blended family has such a special place in my heart, especially because I have been photographing the mom since she was a senior in high school. Watching her grow, thrive, build her family, and step into each new season of life has been one of the greatest honors of my photography career. I am always so grateful for her friendship and her continued support of my business.

The golden sunflower field was the perfect place for this session. The soft evening light wrapped around them, giving each moment a warm and joyful glow. The kids laughed and played between the rows, and I loved capturing the natural connections that make blended families so strong. Every hug, every smile, every little moment felt genuine and real.

I started with the whole family together, letting them settle into the space and enjoy the scenery. From there, I moved into smaller groupings so everyone could shine on their own. The love between the kids and the way they interact made for the sweetest images, and the bond between the parents brought everything together beautifully.

Sessions like this remind me why I love photography so much. It is more than pictures. It is getting to walk alongside families as they grow and change and helping them celebrate each chapter along the way.
